This is the island of Macau, a one-hour trip by ferry from Hong Kong. It's supposed to be inhabited by Portuguese, but still appeared to be primarily Chinese, except for the language as used on public signs.
The architecture here represents quite a change from that of the other places we'd been, although it turns quite a bit more modern outside of this touristy area.
Inside the above church. The color is completely off in this picture; these candles aren't supposed to be red or pink; they're white and the flames should be yellow. Very strange.
Back outside. Be careful of those sticks; together with stones they may break your bones.
A place is called "Cyberland", and you'd think there would be computers or at least electronics in it. Nope. It's a music store, and the person exiting it has a very odd facial expression. No doubt shocked at the lack of Internet terminals...
Wandering a bit farther from that tourist area, this is what I meant by "modern".
Help report rats, 24 hours a day. Mice again, rats!
Whew, better rest after climbing that steep hill. And write down some camera settings, while we're at it.
