Hong Kong, Winter 2001-2002

9. Back to our island

I want my car to be this color.

 Another angle on the story.

Macau is known for its casinos and gamblers. This is the only casino we saw, and according to my guidebook, gambling is quite different from the Las Vegas variety: less glitzy and more businesslike.

This is the view opposite the above casino. A futuristic-looking bridge, to who knows where.

This is an optical illusion, to me at least: looking directly at the sun in this picture instinctively makes me want to squint, and the white seems much brighter than other areas of the screen that are pure white, although that can't really be the case.

Looking through a window in the waiting lounge at the "gate" for the ferry that would take us back to Hong Kong.
