TetriNet (<download> from <tetrinet.org>) is a free multiplayer competitive Tetris-type game. Your team members' goal is to stay alive while forcing the other players to fill up their boards and lose. Special blocks (which you earn by clearing lines) allow you to apply effects to other players boards -- for example: randomly shuffling blocks, clearing lines, adding lines, switching boards, etc. Obviously you will want to play damaging effects on opponents and helpful ones on either yourself or team members in need of help. Up to 6 people may play at once.
TetriNet also allows users to design themes, which include new images, music and sound effects. Here are themes designed by me:
